hello,
my brother recently told me he wanted to get his girlfriend a turtle but didnt want to have to smell the water so i suggested a small tortoise. he is not into reptiles but luckily for him i am and always have been but torts/turts have never been my thing so i am asking what do you think a good reasonably priced, small and easy to take care of turtle would be ?

thankyou

You might want to consider a hermanns tortoise as well. CB hermanns are usually less expensive & more readily available than Russians.

Hi,
I was reading your reply to another post. I'm new to Tort's also. I was thinking of a Russian, but now you mention Hermann's. What's the main difference?

Thanks,
Joanne
