Green Patternless African Rock Pythons,...

BrianSmith Jul 15, 2003 03:15 PM

I am really curious as to how many breeders are producing, or will be producing these. All I know of at this very moment are Bob Clark, Jay Brewer/Vella (prehistoric), and myself. There must be others. So if anyone knows of anyone else running these, hybrids, or broadbanded greens, please post it here. I'd really like to be in touch with more rock breeders so as to do some blood-line trading down the line. Thanks.

(I figure I will go ahead and post about the af-rocks here until kingsnake decides what to do about our forum suggestions)

Brian, I do not breed them. As you know i have yet to have any luck breeding. I am interested in seeing some are they like the patternless african rock that Prehistoric Pets sales. If so i have been thinking about getting one for a while. If the price is right.I did not know Bob has them. I will have to e-mail him when i get a few more cages built.Any info on these would help. Thanks B.

Yes, they are exactly like the ones prehistoric sells since prehistoric first produced this line, lol. I got half of mine from Bob, but he got his from Jay, so technically you could say all of mine are from there in one way or another. But if I can help it I always go to Bob first for anything. I have never seen a mite at his place or on any of his snakes either, and that's a plus.

I'm working with African Rocks.

BrianSmith Jul 16, 2003 01:33 AM

Sorry for the delayed response. I have been very busy lately with my business and my real estate career combined.

I'm keeping a new co-dominant mutation I got from Africa. They are staying way smaller than most others and have wonderful temperaments. Hopefully next season I will produce the super phase of the phenotype in which I am speaking.

I sold all my other African rocks. I opted to hold on to the ones stated above for further breeding projects.

take care,

I acquired these around 2 years ago so I don't think we're speaking of the same snakes. What new ones are you getting in? I will post pictures of mine soon.

Well, the way you described yours they sound exactly the same, and the ones I am getting are 2 year old young adults. When I see your pics I'll tell you if they are the same. Hurry up and post them!
