LOL!
Nah....you're right LMAO just a good ol MBK Tom Stevens
I was about to reply with some snide, but mostly humorous remark about overbreeding for specialty traits. (Glad that nobody does that to Humans! At least not that we know of.) Then I saw what you had done. Got me!
I like to see the locale-specific breeding myself, for preservation of wild bloodlines such as Conjuncta & Nitida. (And, like that marvelous Splendida/Holbrooki intergrade above.) Certain wild populations of many animals may only survive in the near-term years because of captive breeding programs.
I know of a man with at least 11 breeding pairs of Russian (Central Asian) Tortoises. As the dictators of Uzbekistan & nearby Stans continue to allow their brisk sales & depletion, wild populations may not survive even a decade longer.

Just out of curiosity, where are you located, and how many species of Kings have you?

I live near Austin TX. I have 15 assorted Brooksi/Floridana, 1.1 Thayeri on permanent breeding loan to JLassiter,1.1 Eastern X Brooksi, 1.1 Nigritis, and one Goini soon to be paired up. I also have my project Specks which includes one White Sided and some hets. No locale stuff here. I am a morph fanatic. Not anti locale.... just working in a different direction. On another note I have a sour taste to locale in general due to my one attempt to work with them. I have Cape York Spotted Pythons, try tracing any stock back to prove thier lineage....I may as well have got normal Spotteds for half the price.....ouch

I can understand your sentiment. Not everyone has to look at things from the same angle or perspective.
Yes, fortunately we don't have human morph breeding programs yet, if you don't count pairings of the Cruise/Kidman variety.
On the other hand, the small town I grew up in has gone hog-wild for ridiculous human locality line-breeding. Would it kill them to outcross to the next county every once in a while? Sheesh.

LOLAFOC!!!HAH! I don't care where you live, THAT was funny!

Thanks for the comments. I should be attending the show but as of now I have no plans for a table. I am doing the Austin show, and I have many things in the egg and no double clutches yet. If I have a good year I will try n be a vendor. I coulda scored some out of the egg specials from Mr Ricks last year and had no cash due to someone standing me up....ouch ttyl Tom Stevens
