I saw a juvenile green frog in the midst of the woods yesterday; could he be migrating from the neighbor's pond? I thought they just frequented permanent bodies of water, but these vernal woodland pools that he was nearby will dry up in a few months, and I learned that my neighbor "imported" green frogs a few years back from a few miles away, to stock her pond. Now you walk around the pond and tens of green frogs pop up everywhere. I really hope they don't threaten the wood frog population.
