My last clutch of the season is hatching!! Lots of Pics..

Mystical-Dragons Jul 12, 2005 09:51 AM

For some reason I always get sad when the incubator is finally empty, and turned off till next year. I guess I'm happy as well cause my last clutch of the season was from a last ditch effort to have babies from my huge 24 inch 800 gram male Foster

Now that hatching is over I can spend the timme finding good homes for all the babies here

Picture of my big Foster. He was one of my first dragons, and although I bought many many after him he is still the favorite here. Foster is the happiest, most playful dragon of them all.

Couple of the lovely dragons produced this season

Hope you all enjoyed the pics!!

Matt, they are truly gorgeous. You are doing such a great job!

When you say "last ditch effort" to get eggs from Foster, does that mean you are retiring him?

Actually I decided to mate the female I had planned to pair him up with, with his son Sobek. After pairing up my other females with different males I only had 1 female left for Foster. At first Foster would not mate her. One day I said Ok Foster this is your last chance, if not now you won't see another female till next year!!! Sure enough Foster listened, and it was a success This is what is meant by last ditch effort. If Foster stays in the exceptional health he is in now he should have many more years to breed if I chose to breed him. Thanks so much for the nice comments. I do appreciate then.

What does friend mean to you?
A word so wrongfully abused
Are you like me, confused
All included but you
Alone...
The sounds of silence often soothe
Shapes and colors shift with mood
Pupils widen and change their hue
Rapid brown avoid clear blue
Why’s it have to be this way?
Be this way
Flowers watched through wide brown eyes
A child sings an unclaimed tune
Innocence spins cold cocoon
Grow to see the pain too soon

Thanks for clearing that up. I know they all have to retire sooner or later, but Foster is such a great stud! Nice to know we can look forward to seeing more of his offspring in the future.

They look Awesome Matthew. I am glad that Foster finally did his thing. He is just incredible and his genes need to be passed on! I am getting stronger. I still want babies when I see them, but I am able to resist. It is always hard when I look at your guys and Jens babies as well. We should have some new additions the first part of August. I am just a tad bit excited. I bet you are excited for August as well.
