Er I think i have pictures some place, but i'm lazy.

Sexing water dragons is very difficult until they get at least 16". However you will notice that near your water dragons vent near his back legs, there are black pores (if it's a male). Both males and females have these however when the male matures, they will become more defined, not so for the female. Also females lack the large spikes on their backs and tails that nales develop, the female spikes tend to stay pretty small.

Head size is much larger in proportion to the body with the males. When you have both males and females together it's easy to tell. Do a search on waterdragon photos and you'll see the difference.
