Sweet snake!!
Is the weather driving them out?
Florida just took a beating, right?
If so are there any amphumas or sirens available?

I enjoyed seeing your mud snake pics; one of my favorites and an animal HIGH on our wish list for my herp museum (particularly since they are native to our state).

If you want one, just send me an email and I will eventually send you and adult of yearling free. Only thing I ask is that you agree to obtain a siren for scenting pink rodents or obtain a siren supply. I bought a siren at the pet store and froze it and use it for scenting and a single frozen siren will last years to scent with.

I meant to say an adult or yearling or whatever I find or my friends find. If you contact fish breeders and/or some of the larger amphibian dealers I bet they can track some siren down for you eventually. Last year some fellow out of central west Florida was selling them but he has not advertised this year? Perhaps put up a "siren wanted" on that amphibian classifieds forum?

Found this one behind my house at a swamp last year. He was about 3.5' long. I released him the next day. Sorry for the bad pic. It was taken with a cheap camera,
