Thoughts on Vision Cages

MegF Jul 12, 2005 06:20 PM

I wanted people's thoughts on the Vision cages. Right now my GT is in a rubbermaid enclosure, but when she gets bigger, I'd like a full sized cage that I can display her in. The Vision cages look nice and I've seen them mentioned here before. I wanted to know pros and cons before spending the money. I'm also looking into the custom cages and such, but I'll be at a big reptile show in Sept. and if they have vision cages there, I'll get one and save myself the shipping. I can't spend a zillion dollars on a cage, but I do want something decent quality that I can maintain temps and humidity in.

Hey, not really sure about vision cages but I have heard fantastic things about Habitat Systems Limited http://www.habitatsystemsltd.com/ I dont have a chondro yet, would love to get one, and have been looking at their setups. Their large arboreal looks pretty nice and big name breeders and zoos use this company. They can't be that bad. Good luck.

I have looked at those also. I haven't been able to reach them to get a price quote though.

I'm partial to Jim S's cages because they hold humidity so well. (Search: Cool Critters by LJ). I'm not placing a link here because I'm not sure about KS's forum rules.

I have Visions and love them! I also have two arboreal cages from Barrs which I think are unbeatable. Nice adjustable vents, lightweight, and real affordable and cheap to ship.
