I'm thinking about getting a northern BTS and am wondering if they need a uv light. Some caresheets say they do, and some say they don't.

Certainly check out the site Ryo mentioned - you won't need another caresheet. It is debated and not really known if they need it, so many of us take the attitude of 'better safe than sorry' and 'it can't hurt'.

I feel like they probably do need it, or at least benefit from it because they are diurnal. If they were nocturnal, I wouldn't feel as strongly about it.

I don't believe that BTS are some magical lizard that is excluded from the benefits of UV.
