Recent pic of the golden corn . . . (double clutch?)

BlueKing Jul 12, 2005 07:31 PM

Just a recent pic of the golden corn laying next to a normal corn found only a quarter of a mile away. She was bred to this male a little more than a month ago. Don't know if she'll double clutch even though I witnessed copulation between these two. I still don't feel any lumps (in her) yet. Maybe a few more weeks???
Sorry for the bad pic - lighting was a little low. . .
The original clutch should be hatching any day now! Can't wait!

About 12 miles south of Fayetteville near the Cape Fear river. Found her last September (on the 23rd) crossing a deserted road.

My 19 year old son will keep an eye out on them while I'm at work (I'm not working too much - 10 hour days 6 days a week). I'm used to 14-16 hour work days in the Army (plus many weekends) That was bad enough to cause a divorce! But I've re-married (to the same person) since retiring from the Army two years ago!
