I'm interested in creating a habitat for my ball python that's as close to the natural habitat as possible, I realize that this will require a certain amount of time and money, but I'm pretty set on it. However, I'm finding it extremely difficult to find pages or information that actually contain information on the natural habitat, and suggestions on how to recreate it.. I guess what I'm asking is does anyone have any suggestions for good pages or any suggestions for me in general in creating a naturalistic habitat? I would love the input (and so would Baby, my snake )

In the wild ball pythons search for rodent burrows, eat their inhabitance, rest a few days and move on to the next one. Not sure other than temp humitiy and a hide of some kind how much more realistic you could get. Substrates such as dirt and sand etc. while their natural habitat, they are asking for trouble with a captive reptile, problems ingesting the substrate, and cleanlyness to name a few.
