Well i saw more of this last night. they were copulating out in the open last night for about 2 hours. they laid their last clutch about 2 and a half weeks ago, so the old every 45 day rule may be broken here, we shall see. she is definitely ovulating and it definitely wasn't rape so we should see an egg drop soon.

cheers, andrew

I am sorry, I never heard of the 45 day rule. I have had many species of odatria, lay eggs two weeks apart, including kimberlys. Thats the 14 day rule, I guess. Good luck,Thanks F

that is good to know. i received the 45 day info from eric c. and joe lewis. what is it that makes them lay more often? i am not highly concerned with that, more her health than anything. but i would assume that if she were to lay more often it would be her and her body's choice. is it my diet? i feed dusted crix, and dusted pinks, or is it how often? i feed everyday, who knows for sure. i guess as i breed more and more of them i will see differences like this.

cheers, andrew
