I was just wondering how well the single row of heat cable works. I'm thinking about getting a rack from them, but it kind of seems like that wouldn't be enough to heat the larger tubs.
Thanks,
Will

I went for the 1754/1756 10 slot rack not too long ago and really like it. For an inexpensive plastic rack it seems well put together and I have found the heat cable works fine.It assembled easily enough too. Good luck.
How was the spacing on those smaller tubs (between the top of the tub and the rack)? Would you be ok keeping small snakes in them?
Thanks,
Will
Will,
I have been using mine for my Black milk colony. Black milks are pretty big as hatchlings. I found that the top two levels were a little tight so used some 1754 containers that seemed a little tall to insure they couldn't get out. Once hatchlings get a little size on them it's not an issue at all. You could temporarily shim them till you are comfortable. But I bet their shoe box racks for hatchlings would be more animal specific.I like the rack alot and Ali over there is very nice to deal with.
Good luck
I highly recommend the racks from AP Cages. I purchased 3 of the 10 shelf units and have another one on order. They are well made, lots of little details that really make a difference, easy to assemble, etc. etc.
The box fit is the best I have ever seen. No more spilled water bowls. I keep a variety of snakes. Two racks are balls and the third is colubrids. I have yearling corns, no problem, no escapees. For hatchlings, I would recommend their hatchling rack but as Bob stated, you can shim the box. Just place a folded sheet of newspaper or a layer of thin cardboard under the box. Another option is to use a smaller box, the shoe box size with the top. I have some old sterilite boxes, 12 quart, that are not as tall as the 15 /32 quart size boxes. I kept the lids and just place a rubberband over each end to make sure it stays on the box nice and tight. These fit into any shelf without any problem.
