question about VA

Herpeto-punk Jul 13, 2005 10:17 AM

Does anyone know what the herp laws are in VA, and laws specific to Virginia Beach and Norfolk? I'd really appreciate any info. -- Jennifer

being a virginia resident i have looked into the state herp laws. Pretty much everything is legal including venomous, except for canebrake and timber rattlers(i guess due to being considered endangered) and there is a limit of 4 copperheads. Also i believe red-eared sliders are illegal(not absolute on that) and that any turtle or tortoise must have a shell diameter of atleast 4 inches.
