Hurricane Dennis Update............

rdperry5 Jul 13, 2005 05:38 PM

We live in Pensacola.

We fled to Kentucky for the storm. We stayed with family. They are very afraid of snakes. We were able to take our two dogs and our two bearded dragons. We had to leave the cats, hamsters, corn snakes, and snake eggs.

This storm could have been much worse than Ivan, and for some people in our area it was. Our house faired fairly well. We lost some siding and a fruit tree, and had some minor damage to our fence that was recently repaired from the last storm. All of our critters are fine.

We are still without power, and don't know when it will be back on. The eggs are just now getting a little warm (85 degrees). I added some ice water to the incubator. I'm trying to get the temp down.

We just got a generator today, had to borrow money to get it. I have a fan in our bedroom (that is where the incubator is also).

I am using a computer at the library. I will check back when I can.
