Can someone please help me with my fasting ball??

anj109 Jul 13, 2005 06:28 PM

Ok so heres the deal. My ball is about a year and 4 months old and was doing fine eating every week no problem up until about 8 months ago. I knew they were notorious for going off feed for this long so I didn't really get concerned but now it's starting to worry me. I would try and feed her one every week and when she didnt eat it, I would just give it to my buddy who has a corn and he would feed the mouse to it. At first she stopped eating the rats she was eating and would eat a mouse. And then she stopped eating mice. I've tried a gerbil (which I still have) about 2 months ago and it wouldn't eat it. I try that about every 2 weeks. And I try this mouse that I've had for about 3 months every week. My buddy doesnt have his snake anymore so I have had to keep these 2 alive. Do you think it would eat a fresh mouse from the petstore because it doesn't like the smell or something particular about these 2 (mouse and gerbil) that I have? I keep the 2 in a shoebox size container and keep good care of them.

Can someone please help me out here cause I am getting worried. My temps are perfect and my humidity is fine around 50% and she is always out and about like normal. No signs of anything wrong with her. I've also tried f/t mice and that didnt work.

Thanks in advance,

Alex

Give her some TLC!

Make sure she feels comfortable and safe. Worked for me...

Has anything else changed ?
What i mean is...did you move the snake cage or put anything new near to it.Sometimes it's the little things...,(new vibrations,etc..)

I would try a "fresh mouse" too(but not more often than a week at a time)...you never know, maybe she prefers the pet shop mice(that are eating what the pet store is feeding them).
The main things are to make sure the heat is kept at 92F on the hot end and 80F on the cool end.

good luck with her...
