For bearded dragons, if it moves, it's food. During my first breeding of bearding dragons, my little sister thought it would be cute to put a baby in the same cage as its mother when my back was turned. When I realized what she had done it was too late. My adult had jumped off her basking spot and bit the little guy in his neck. I managed to get him out but it was too late. Sorry for the mental picture, but don't put babies and adults together.
From what I've read in books yes the adults will eat the babies but from my experience my female is weird because she wanted to protect her babies from me at all costs. Right after my babies started hatching I put them in containers with lids and put them in the tank with mom to keep them warm. When I took them out I almost lost a few fingers because she didn't want me to take her babies from her again. I actually had to show her that the babies were safe before she'd trust me again. I know my girl is weird but I wouldn't trust leaving a baby in with an adult. I showed her the babies while I was holding them but I never let them go in her tank.
