I'm posting this to inform the group of Gabe the Geckos death. I think that there are many factors that contributed to her death. The move from New Orleans to Louisville, the extream changes in temp in her tank and ambiant temos, her loss of will to eat,etc...I will disinfect her tank and all items in it and soon I will start again. The saddest part is telling my 4 year old in the morning.

I too just lost a "favorite" due to circumstances outside human control too. I rescued him as at a few weeks of age and I was convinced he would be with me and 'the crew' for years to come....but I was wrong.
It sounds like you did everything you could and you gave her a great home.
Life can be so unfair, but just think of the great life Gabe had with you and that she's most likely with Pico, Rioja, Enid, and a great many other amazing leos that are no longer here.
Hopefully in time, you will give another leo a great home.
