I'm just curious since it's been a nagging question in my mind.

as far as i know, a flourescent corn is just an amelanistic corn line bred for the brightest most flourescent orange color -- sorry if that doesn't help

I am NOT 100% sure about this but I do believe that they are simply amelanistic corns that were produced from one of the top breeders in the corn industry. I believe his website explains the history of them coming from a somewhat piebald corn that was bred and produced 2 generations before producing the unique colors of the flourescents. I think it unintentional at first but once produced, they were selected for and the more brilliantly colored ones were probably held back as breeders.

I am sure that the reverse okeetee coloration is somehow involved too. BUT like I said...i am not entirely sure....yoy should check out some of the top corn breeders websites as they explain it alot better about how many morphs came about. I've got a year old pair of fluorescents from He-who-must-not-be-named and they are really amazing looking snakes. I produce some home grown reverse okeetees that are might nice looking even if I do say so myself, but they aren't even in the same league as the fluorescents I got from Rich.
