only alterna of the trip.................

shannon brown Jul 14, 2005 01:57 AM

Well,Aaron and I spent nine nights busting our huevos looking for the gray thing but came up with only one.I still haven't shined one from a car in ten years.Found them in the round and walking and found a couple hard locales but can't even shine a langtry for christ snakes.
Anywho,on july first at 10:20 90 or 91 degrees just south of the radio tower on a six inch high grassy cut full of holes were I had been haveing some luck with garters and other junk I walked this dark female. It was to be our only alterna of the trip but we had a great time and did see a pretty fair share of snake although a couple nights were slow and one or two snakes were our total at nights end?
Steve wit and son Mike kept us company up there several nights and it was fun trying to play jokes on them.Troy and Marla had as out for dinner one night and Marla cooked up some bambi burrito's that were just great.
I can't wait to get back out there next year as I alreay miss it.

Nice looking snake Shannon. Sorry that you guys didn't find anymore while you were here. Good talking with you yesterday and hope to see you two out there this next year.

Thanks Nathan,Yeah I really like the white borders on her.Looks like a good langtry.
Yeah, marla can throw down some grub thats for sure,Forgot to mension that we had a little cookout on the way back on the 3rd with John and Barbara Fraser and Roy and his wife at Johns house in sanderson. We just missed tank but got to enjoy his venison sausage anyways.
I hope we can hook up next year as well and put a few back and have some good grub.
It was good talking to you as well and if you need a place to stay in Daytona let me know.

Funny jokes huh? Here are the "jokes" that Shannon and Aaron left for us. Picture one is of a baby "Incredibilis hulkaterna" and the second is of the rare "yellow phase Barking frog". Lots of fun to see this stuff and keep us awake. Our turn next year guys. lol

Shannon's snake looks better in person than it does in the picture. I personally was glad he found one because he and Aaron put a lot on time in looking and it finally paid off. My son and I stayed out until about 5:00am every night and they were out even longer. Hopefully next year we can make it out a few weeks earlier. We also got to meet Ernie at the mexican restaurant too. Shannon can explain if he would like. lol
