individual variation in C. v. viridis

Sorry about that............

The first post is the darkest I've seen (I've only seen around 10 or so this summer). Also it was shedding at the time. This next one is very yellow compared to the first. I've noticed that these rattlesnakes seem to be generally the same color in a given location (example-the individuals from lower French Creek are light in color whereas the individuals found on Lookout Mountain, Spearfish are darker). Do you find this to be true in other states/provinces?
