Mine is pushing 10 and I hope he lives past 20 or longer. What's the average life expectancy these days with good care? 12-15 years old?

id like to see his photo. Its not common to see a 10 years iguana photo.
I have 2 igs but mine are only 5 years and a half.
What do you feed yours?

I currently have 6 igs that are 11-14 years old and going strong. They are all rescues, so I don't know if they'll last into their 20s but they are certainly active now.
Hi,
This is Snertle Beans. When we adopted him, we were told he was 11 years old. We've had him about a year, so he's pushing 12 now. We also adopted a 7 year old Ig (Ferdy) about 2 years ago, so he's about 9 years old, I'll post a pic of him, too. He's twice the size of Snertles.
Peace,
Christine

More Snertles...

But your adopted ig seems to have burn scares.Thats true or its only my impression?

Hi there!
Yes, Snertles has a number of burn scars, and he's missing most of his toes and spines. He's also extremely small for his age. ): He was also not tamed when we adopted him. He's so much better now though, and he lets me handle him, even though he despises my husband.
Peace,
Christine
Ferdy is my first... (:

More of my baby...

Your ig looks so happy!
My ig, Spike is 8 years old. Here she is earlier this year in her outdoor enclosure.
