my royal wont feed please please help

hi guys i have 2 royal pythons named tyson and lucy lucy is the high gold

they have both been feeding fine on fuzzies but i was recently told to start them on 1 small mouse each every 7 days so i tried that tonight and my high gold took it fine but my other one refuses to take it she keeps striking at it and hissing but wont take it?? they are both about3 months old and have yet to shed in my care i am not sure if the hissing is a sign that she is about to shed or something but her eyes arent blue or anything
i feel really stupid not knowing things like this but i am counting on you guys to try and help me

Have you tried feeding the problem child two fuzzies each meal? If does not want to eat the hopper, then I'd just to back to fuzzies and feed her several, then gradually increase the size of the prey item. She probably just needs to get a little more confidence.

...hissing is a sign that the snake got spooked or disturbed, but it also MIGHT be going into a shed as well, being that it's about the right time. What I do before going to a larger food item is increase the FREQUENCY (ie shorten the period between meals) THEN as the snake gains confidence and grows it'll take on larger food items. Also it is best to house 1 snake per cage, as cagemates may disturb the other.
Most important: learning will come with time and experience. Thanks to this forum the learning curve is very steep. When I got my first BP in 1969 at the age of 11 I had to wing it, and this snake lived over 25 years! Scott J. Michaels DVM
