Hello,
Your snakes are gorgeous! I have a question about the eyes though. I was reading an article in this forum and saw the following:
"If a snake strikes you, try your best to identify it. A good way of distinguishing between a venomous and a non-venomous snake is to look at its pupils, noted Pilcicki.
Poisonous snakes have slanted pupils in the shape of a vertical slit where as non-venomous snakes have round pupils."

If this really true? I don't think your snakes are posionous, are they? If not, this guy really isn't doing anyone a service by saying such a thing.

As far as the eyes go, I have heard the same thing...but from what I was told, this only pertains to North American snakes...so if you were to find one in your backyard, and you lived in N. America, then it probably is venemous.

This is VERY true but also VERY untrue.... first off I would like to state that the "Cat Eye Rule" ONLY applies to north american vipers,(are cottonmouths vipers?) something that NO article I have ever read seams to put at the end of the statement. My fiance yelled at me because I got her to hold a columbian redtail at a local pet shop and a week later she heard the rule and freaked... The reason this I say this rule is untrue, is because it doesn't apply to other technically venemous snakes of north america... Garter Snakes, Lyre Snakes, and some Water Snakes (Venemous?) all have round pupils... so there is the in depth truth of the rule
