How beneficial is this to a set up? I know it is the only way to go with like a reef tank and things of this nature but, is it worth going through the step for a vivarium? I have the chance to get a unit for like $60. Just want to know if I will be able to see a difference for my time and money.

Thanks
Tony

I use RO in both my dart tanks now. I mainly switched because I hated the water stains on my glass. I haven't really noticed a difference besides that. I only pay 17 cents a gallon, and 1 gallon lasts me a week and a half. I thought the filters to do it were really expensive to maintence, but if you can get one for 60 I'd go for it.

along with the reduction of water stains, it seems that my plants are healthier. I find it very convenient to have one at home as I don't have to run out and lug home more stuff when I run errands. If you only have to pay $60, it seems worth it just for convenience and healthier plants, not to mention peace of mind for frogs that sometimes cost more than 60$/peice.
