I was recently told by someone who seems knowledgeable on chams that rep-cal brand was no good and to start using herpcare. does anyone else have any views on this?

Personally, as a keeper that has worked with seven species over as many years, I'd have to disagree with that. Based on content, formulation, and adhesion to prey, I prefer RepCal hands down.
My thoughts on that,

can't beat repcal. I've used it on many species for many years. great results.
I use repcal for my lizards too. Great stuff! I like to use it for my gravid females..helps them stay healthy and strong. I've had no problems when they lay they're eggs, no deaths or anything. So thats gotta mean they're pretty healthy...

I've used Rep-Cal for about 10 years and works for me. Sticks great to feeders. I have also used Miner All on ocassion and it's fine. Rep Cal is readily available and the cost is right. I only buy Miner All when i go to a show because price is too steep for me (7.99-12.99).
Ya, and it sticks too...forogt about that. It stays on the whole time..unless the stupid things jump into the dish...but than i have calcified water! So its all good
