when the eyes turn blue the snake is fixing to shed.

on your tank you should have a cool side and a warm side, on my tanks the warm side averages about 83 degrees, the cooler side 74.
it is not advised by most keepers to keep 2 snakes in an enclosure together unless they are breeding........... one reason if one were to have something happening with his poop you wouldnt know which snake it was... im sure there are other reasons.

The 20 will be too small to keep them both in anyway, so do the 3 of you a favor and get another cage for one of them. That temperature range is OK.

Also like to add, it is bad enough keeping 2 snakes together... it is terrible for the snakes if they are different species with different needs! My brother kept a redtail boa and a python in the same tank, then I smacked him in the back of the head and gave him a 20 minute lecture, they now are happily in their own homes.
