What do you do when you have a baby dumerils that wont eat. I have had this snake for about 6 or so months now. It has never used its tounge, yes it has one but has never used it. It wont eat and trust me I have tried everything. It sucks and I just don't know what to do with him. He is a beautiful snake but he wont eat and I know there has to be something wrong with him because he wont even use his tounge. He is a baby so I dont know what the people did with him before we got him. The guy we bought him from wont answer any emails or anything so he is no help.

if he wont even use his tongue to "sense" things around him i would try taking him to the vet. he might not be able to use it because of some sort of infection or something. the only time my dumeril quit eating was for about 6 weeks (turns out he had developed a taste for mice and i was trying to feed him rats).

I already took him to a vet and the vet said he was fine, he just isnt using his tounge.
