I have produced several clutches of pastels this year but I have not produced any this light. These were produced from an average Bell pastel male to an extremely light colored female. The normal mom was a light butterscotch color. The pastel male that I used fathered several other clutches with other normal, average looking females and they all produced average pastel offspring. But the clutch with the light colored female produced these exceptional babies. The moral of my story: Selectively breeding by using an exceptional normal parent bred to a pastel, is more important than I have been giving it credit. ...just thought I would share.
Thanks for looking,
