Installing Flexwatt

What is the preferred method of installing flexwatt under cages,in incubators, etc. I see some use foil tape. Are the clear outside edges of the flexwatt safe to mess with?

Foil tape is the easiest, and yes the clear pat is perfectly safe

Flex Watt is fine but I prefer the Heat Rope like Big Apple sells inside an incubator because it provides a lot of heat where you want it and because it is completely water proof. Flex Watt Heat Tape is not something I use inside a cage or incubator where moisture can get to it.
