rjward97 Jul 15, 2003 07:58 PM

Hi all!
My name is Roxanne.. and I am a herpoholic.. LOL
No but seriously. I already have a 6 yr old green Iguana female- Spike. An old red-eared slider male- Filbert. 2 green frogs. 1.0 striped kenyan sand boa-Oringo. 0.1 anery kenyan sand boa-Zuri Kamaria. 1.1 desert hairy scorpions. 3 big old goldfish. 40 or so bettas. 1 male platy. a colony of ghost shrimp. bunch of cats and 2 chickens.
This last sunday my husband, kids and a few friends went to the IRBA show in San Diego. I bought a 4-5 month old Leopard Gecko male. I bought him from Steve at Geckos Etc. Nice guy : ). He does have a regen tail, but I don't care it is not like it is genetic : P
I wonder why I hadn't got a Leo sooner.. cuz now I am in love!! My sister and brother-in-laws bought a female from Steve as well, they named her Trico. We plan to breed the two when they are ready. Steve said we should get a nice variety of colors from them : ) We also hope to go to the Pomona IRBA show and pick up a few more girls. My son named our new gecko Piccolo, and my little girl can't get enough of seeing him- although she would rather be touching him : P
well I have a page set up of pics from after the show if anyone would like to see. it is at http://rjward97.tripod.com/july132003/
I also breed bettas and have a site being worked on... www.paintedbettas.tk
the top pic is of Trico, the bottom 2 are of Piccolo.
What do you think? And what morph would they be consider? just normals? They are het for lots of stuff.. but just curious.

and you check my other herps pics here:

Ahahaha, I'm goofy, it doesn't help.. lol

First off, what is unsexed.. (I am 27, just in case you're wondering), and secondly, is 1.0 male and 0.1 female?? LOL

LOL
unsexed is a juvenile or other herp that cannot or just has not been checked to see if it is male or female.
yup- 1.0 is male. 0.1 is female. and 0.0.1 is unsexed/unknown

And thnx for the congrats : )
This little guy is so inquisitive! Ate 2 mealies the first night he was home and has ate a few more since then.

LOL I wasn't trying to rub it in : P
Maybe if you covered the sides of the glass they'd be more inclined to venture out of their hide and find a bite to eat? I covered up about half of Piccolo's tank because everytime I walked into the room he would go and hide and peek at me... LOL.. just still nervous, but wouldn't you be if you were in their shoes.. er ah scales?
Give them time, they will eat!
Roxanne
