Hey all,
My gecko crawled out of the cage while I was giving her a misting, and so I snapped some quick pics again. Does she look better, or is she still dehydrated??

Hey all,

She's still dehydrated but looking a little better. I do a lot of wholesale purchases involving leaftails, when I get a new shipment in I mist their cages two times a day for extended periods of time. I typically spray for 20-30 minutes per cage when I get them in because they are under the impression that they are in a rain storm and drink as much as they can during the showers. I recommend spraying the cage for atleast 20 minutes and being patient. If your getting frustrated with the time you spend spraying, maybe this wasn't the gecko for you. Just know that this too will pass. This is just phase, she'll pull out of it. It just takes a few weeks. She'll be up to par quickly. Just gut load everything you feed her. I think Leah has some good info about gutloading on her site. I don't know if I'll get in to some trouble with pheve for posting her website. Leah does post some of her photos on here so just look around down below and you'll find her stuff and just cut and paste to get there.

Hi, you can post Leahs site for informational purposes, yes !
I always refer people to a certain site to help them.
Just can't pick a site or your own without anyone asking for information, and say Hi everyone look at my site or go HERE and look at this or that.
Then it's website promotion, when you INVITE with no reason other than to get them there ya know?
But heck people are allowed to put their websites in there signatures, or link, like this:

I've been misting her cage until everything is wet 3-4 times a day. I go through about a pint of water a day too... I'll start misting for longer periods of time. Its summer, until school starts I've got nothing better to do than to get this girlie healthy...
She runs away from the mist though, will spraying longer encourage her to come out and drink? Maybe I'll give her another shower tonight....
Showers are the work of the mighty Uroplatus godds!!!
They do wonders.
Here is an article recently written regarding gutloading.

You will find a LOT of things in this publication are synonymous with Uroplatus care. The acclimation, and a lot of the egg and baby care articles, parasites, shipping, etc. There is a surprisingly large Uro following here.
