I am a beginner and I have two albino aquatic frogs which I purchased about two or three months ago. I have been feeding them frozen bloodworms and they have no problems finishing the worms i gave them, until last week when I ran out of frozen bloodworms and bought a new set. Apparently the pet shop changed the supplier of the bloodworms, and I'm not sure if it's the change in the type of worms, the frogs eat very few. One of them still eat a fairly decent number of worms, but the other one just a few. It constantly places the worms in the mouth and spits them out.
The frogs are generally still active.
May I know if it's the change in the type of worms for them and if it's a cause for worry? Also, could it be that the frog has injured its mouth? Because a few times I tried to tempt it with the bloodworms when it wouldn't it by dangling a few worms above it using a toothpick, and it always without fail make a dash for the worms. I'm not sure if the toothpick has injured its mouth or something, but there are no visible injuries.
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!
