Finally, the 4 of 9 good eggs found from Calhoun co., Texas are hatching! Looks to be the infamous splendida/holbrooki that have eluded me all year. I caught the adult female in Jan. and have been looking hard core for a mate with no success. Found a clutch of 9 eggs under an old stove last month. 5 had already been destroyed by invertibrates; sow bugs, pillbugs rolypolys, or whatever you call them. Jlassiter put them in the "popcorn machine" and we have the intergrades! I hope they are as high yellow/orange as the female after shed! Too cool!
