I am dying to take Smaug outside...we have been having very hot weather...it was 81 at 8:00am...the only problem is the humidity is also very high...I know they shouldn't be kept in a humid tank...but would he be ok if I took him outside...and if so for how long....thanks...

For a little while, it should be OK. They can deal with humidity up to 50%.

yeah, they should be fine as long as its only to take them outside. Afterwards they can return to their nice dry tank and relax. Chronic humidity will lead to respitory infections, but an hour or so every so often wont hurt

I was told by a Bearded Dragon specialist that keeping Dragons in humid weather is great for them and they love it. I had mine out in the humidity today at around 80 degrees with 78 percent humidity. Plus the wet weather helps them with their shedding. Agreed that too much humidity is bad, just like too much of everything else. But your Dragon should be ok in their weather.
