Philodryas baroni infos...

Bredli Jul 17, 2005 10:35 AM

Hello everybody, I'm from Italy and I have a pair of baronii cb03. Now they are about 120cm long, and I would like to try breeding them this winter, but I can't find infos (periods, tricks, when they are ready to mate, etc etc...). I know only one person here that is working (or has worked) with baroni...and it's myself!
So please if anyone here may give any infos of breeding this species I'll be very glad.
Thanks everybody
Davide

Hi Bredli,

I own 1 baroni, he (or she) come from a Japanese breeder. (Only 1 baroni's breeder
in Japan, and from his 1st success)

He said baroni must be cooled down to abt 10degC. He tried 15degC at first, and failed. Next year he lowerd then success.

Also the article on Reptiles February 2005, -Make Way for Baron's Green Racers- Brian Aucone, describes some breeding infomation.

Hope your success, bye.
