what was the incubation medium you used?it looks like the sand i use in my pool filter.obviously it works.

Vermiculite. It works well, and the incubator I use is an old pepsi machine that holds humidity between 95% and 99%. Works well. Almost too well, they hatch faster than I can get rid of them.

Hey,
Nice job with the hatching, however, I think you meant "Perlite". I use this stuff too, only I mix it with Vermiculite as a 50/50 mix and it also, works great. This year, for the chondro egg's I went straight with Vermiculite and the egg's are doing well. Should be hatching some by August 7th. 12 total.

You are right. I meant Perlite. I used to use vermiculite and found controlling mositure easier with Perlite. Next year I'll have to try the blend of Ver/per. With the perlite i tend to get more water staining/spotting on the eggs. Thanks for keeping me on my toes...

what grade is it?it is milled much finer than the normal vermiculite we see.
