need quick help in Vision cage size...

joijoi29 Jul 17, 2005 06:58 PM

I'm about to order a Vision cage for my beardie but I am stumped on which one to purchase. The 322 is 38Lx28Wx18H and the 422 is 48x28x18. I think Bennet keeps his in the 322's and that is what I have heard many use, but I just want to get the one thats most appropriate for a single adult. I had originally wanted to purchase the 422 but they are about $100 more..do they really need the extra for a single adult? Any advice would be helpful...I'll wait till tomorrow to purchase.

TIA

Marilee

48"x24"x24" is typically given as the minimum size for a single adult bearded dragon. But I feel shaving on the height is fine, so a cage that is 18" high would be fine, which both cages are. The smaller vision cage is a little smaller than the recommended size but if your dragon isn't huge (ie over 20" that cage should be fine. Otherwise, go for the larger of the two cages.
