I was wondering what type of Eastern King you used to breed with your hypo brooksi to produce "Muttly." Thanks in advance.

Let me rephrase. I'm assuming it was a Hypo Fla. x Eastern Chain, right? I was just wondering specific locale on the Eastern.

I'm just wondering the locale of the Eastern Chain that was crossed with the Hypo. Fla that yielded Jetzens "muttly". Any info. would be great, pics of the parents would be awesome as well.

Ouch thats a loaded question for some of the forum members.

Since you asked I will tell you the whole truth. Many years ago I got a female eastern king from a guy in Florida who one year told me it was a north florida eastern. The following year he told me it was a eastern crossed with goini (25% goini 75% eastern). He called them Bumblebee kings back then. Anyway I bred that female to a hypo brooks from Doug Beard.

Yikes!

BTW here is what Muttly will produce.

A hypo eastern bumblebee (aka N. Georgia) x brooksi.

bluerosy Jul 18, 2005 12:54 AM

opps I meant N. florida.

hehe, sorry for the emphasis in the topic title! Right on, you're quite welcome, it's only one of the most beautiful snakes I've ever seen. If you ever breed him, I'll definitely be interested in his children. Thanks again.

Also, is that a recent pic of Muttly? He's growin' like a weed!

JETZEN Jul 17, 2005 10:06 PM

The pic with him and the mouse was taken about 6mos. ago the baby pic was taken less than 2yrs ago, just recently he was moved into a 106qt sterilite, HE will be a MONSTER!

Wow, those are very nice as well (still like Muttly more though). They resemble Muttly a little bit, were they bred from the same two types of snakes or were they bred from two of the same sub.s?

Kinglvr Jul 17, 2005 10:14 PM

I'm stupid! :D

JETZEN Jul 17, 2005 10:32 PM

The N. Fla. easterns arn't mutts, sorry to confuse ya.
