I was looking into YB's because I have seen alot of people wondering if they have one. I read all the threads and explanations of what a YB is. The reason was because I think I have a YB. I am not just saying it b/c she has a clear belly, but b/c she has speckling on her belly, ALOT of yellow on the sides and light pattern on her back, she has the pale circle on her head, and she has the flames on the side. Here are some pics, and tell me what you think without bashing me for asking please. Thanks. -Joe

The speckling on the belly is washed out, but you can see the yellow and the flames.

You can see the pale spot on the head, she is the one on the right.

Please respond, I am pretty anxious to see what the pros think! -Joe

Doesn't look like a yellowbelly to me.

Here's mine: She has the faded circle on her head, she has the yellow sides and yellow/orange body although the pics do her no justice, she has a slight orange hue on her belly which is otherwise white with a little speckling, she has faded spots on her back... Here is a website I was looking at http://www.nextworldexotics.com/hgyb.htm I am not saying I am right, but I would like an explanation b/c this is a little confusing. Thanks! -Joe

OK - first I'm not an expert - I've seen some in person and it's very easy to tell them just by looking at them - but I've also seen all the ones posted here over the past months (real and fake) and the real deal is fairly easy to spot - IMO - yours lacks the color, flames and the belly pattern that basically screams "yellowbelly". Maybe the pictures aren't capturing the animal right I don't know - I'm not seeing it - breed it and find out. Again this is just my opinion - I think it's a nice looking normal.

Alright gotcha. I am definitely going to breed her. I want to get a male yellowbelly, but I am trying to find out if it is worth the investment if she turns out to not be a yb. Thanks for your input! -Joe
