Black milk eggs!

nategodin Jul 18, 2005 07:39 AM

Hello,
Well, I was a bit nervous about leaving my gravid black milksnake home alone for the weekend, but I was relieved to come home Sunday to find a clutch of 6 eggs in the nesting box. All of them look fertile, although there are some irregular yellowish spots on some of the eggs, very noticeable on the one at the bottom of the picture, toward the front. This is my (and her) first clutch, so I really wasn't sure what to expect. How do they look to you guys?

Thanks,
Nate

Glad to see you achieved some results!
And they look fine to me. Those funny little spots weirded me out at first too, but they're generally not cause for concern unless the texture of the eggs changes at that spot (ie. gets moist and starts to sweat.) But for the most part, my eggs get even more spotty by the time they're ready to hatch.
