Did anyone catch Animal planet on Sunday night?

Melisondra Jul 18, 2005 11:22 PM

The show Whoa sunday or something (with the very weird host)
Anyway they were doing a special on emergency vets, and one was dealing with a gravid/eggbound female veiled.
They showed giving her shots of Oxytocin, and then having to go in and surgically remove the eggs and all. It was pretty interesting. I fell asleep before the end though, so im hoping the little girl made it! (caught it at like 2am)

Anyway just wondering if anyone else saw it, or if this was old news :-P

I watched it. Some of the cases were re-runs from the Emergency Vets show and some were new. Kevin Fitzgerald used to be my vet...yeah, he's really like that in person. They did not have the result of the veiled's spaying...she may not have made it (some eggs had ruptured and peritonitis was really likely) and it would have been a depressing ending. It was nice to see their new facility. When I went there they were just starting to design it, and their old place was cramped and a bit funky.
