New Tank... suggestions plz

Howdy all!

Alright, so i've got about 2 weeks b4 im buying the little guy, and i wanan have the tank set-up perfectly. Here's wut ive got so far. **Dont mind the lighting set-up in the pix, i kno how to set them up **

Tell me wut you guys think. Pro's/cons. Like's/dont likes. Anything is much appreciated.

This is the "underground lair"

Ive seen it done b4, but ive never seen one where u coudl see into the lair itself. *but maybe i jsut didnt look hard enuf *

First, pretty cool! But my concern is that the hide should be for, well, just that. To hide and not be stressed. If you can see in, the uro can see out and he's not going to feel ver secure.

Just a thought.

I agree. I would say cover that part up with something....something that light can't travel through. I would suggest a flat piece of wood or something. Also, that little fake burrow thing would be better used if you filled it up with moist soil...so it would emulate the burrows they use in nature. You sort of have to experiment with the moisture though, and how you will add water to the soil, and all of that...before you put the uro in.

i like that cave entrance, however, he may not like the fact that the underground cave is not fully blocked off. perhaps you can stick a piece of paper there or something so you can see him if you need to and he can chill down there worry free. it looks really nice though! how much sand is in there?

ya i considered that a possibility, and might end up doign sukthign with magnets.

and theres jsut under 150 lbs of sand in the tank! lol
