Anyone have a good list of plants for Tincs?

crotaphytusman Jul 19, 2005 12:50 AM

I am setting up a tank for my tincs and I have been looking for a good list of plants that would work well in my tank. Anyone know of a list online that I can print out and start looking? Thanks for the help!

http://www.tropical-experience.nl/ has a nice article about plants for terrariums, including a list of suitable plants. Click articles, then scroll to the bottom where there is a link titled Plants in Tropical Terrariums. I also wrote an article that might be useful. It contains a list of common plants that I've had success with in terrariums. It can be viewed at www.amphibiancare.com/frogs/articles/tropicalterrarium.html Good luck,

There are also some photos in my photo gallery here under cages and terrariums, etc., user name: slaytonp. I had just taken some photos of a few of the plants as I got them-- still in pots. These all work pretty well in vivariums except for the Gesneriads (Kohleria & Sinningia) which in my situations, don't get enough light to bloom after the vivariums get shaded by other plants.
