I just got my tortoise in april and I feed him a variety of greens everyday-dandelion greens are a favorite-you can buy them in the store or pick them in the yard(as long as theres no pesticides used), romaine lettuce,mustard/turnip greens, alfalfa , timothy hay, I will throw some carrots in, -they sale kale and spinache are not good so I stay away from that until I hear different. Isually feed mine everday in the morning-I will sometimes chop it up in the food processor-this allows for you to make it for a few days-I also throw in cut up pieces in the afternoon-I notice hes coming out to eat more. I grew my own collard greens which he loves.I would look through the lists of foods and try a little bit at a time to see what they like.

I give my Russian and Hermann's dandlion, grass, grape leaves, mulberry leaves, sedum, petunia, thisle and cactus pads. Basically mostly just weeds I collect. I love summer, dread having to go back to grocery store greens in the winter.

Mine get dandelions (flowers & leaves), thistle, plantains, sedum, clover, mulberry leaves, an occasional day lily, & wild strawberries. A couple of times a week they get Mazuri, soaked in water, which they LOVE.
