strange veiled spots

snakeman5124 Jul 15, 2003 09:58 PM

i have a female veiled baby about 2-3 inches w/o tail. today i notice that when she turns dark to bask or when mad there is a spot on her casque and nostril that stay a good deal lighter than the rest of her body what could this be? i have no idea how old she is so could it be starting to get mature colors? or couild this be the result of something else like dehydration or some disease or is it just a fluke? i really hope its nothing serious. thanks in advance. JK

I read your post and just started chuckling. I know, I know...everything seems so strange when you start to keep animals that you are not too familiar with. When I got my veiled I found myself watching the poor guy almost constantly. He is so fascinating and appears so alien. This forum is a treasure of information and has helped me enormously...lots of good people here. Remember...there is no such thing as a stupid question....not asking it is being stupid. Good luck with your cham!

You are definately not a moron.
I enjoy seeing posts from keepers like you. People who pay close attention to detail with their chams. Wish more people had such a responsible approach.
