Pastel and Hypomelanistic are two different things.
Traits of the pastel phenotype are the bright yellow colour, the blushing, the head pattern and distictive body pattern as well.
The hypomelanistic(ghost) is, as the name implies, lacking the darker pigments and kind of "washed out" looking.
If you bred a pastel to a hypo then you would end up with 100% het hypos and pastel 100% het hypos. Then if you bred your pastel 100% hypo to a hypo or het hypo you could get pastel hypos which are really faded pastels...
Think that's right....

Here is a link with lots of morphs and their descriptions
Morphs
We have had several pastel Yellow Ear Sliders hatch out before. However, this year, we have something I have never seen before. My best description would be that it is an ANTI-pastel. The turtle is a Yellow Ear Slider, but it has NO yellow! You can distinguish the design patterns on the shell and skin, but they are in varying shades of dark, darker, and darkest green. There are no yellow spots or stripes on the shell or the skin. What would this be called? It is literally one in hundreds of thousands for us. Has anyone else seen this before?
Thanks,
