before i start i know, i know, "seperate them"....anyways. what would be better for two full grown pythons housed together? i am looking at 72x24x11.5, or 72x24x17.5. they are Rhino Raxx brand cage and rack systems. if another size or type would be better then suggestions are welcome. i was looking at those because they can be made into two seperate cages if the need arises.

thanks

p.s. the snakes are female siblings.

You shouldn't have any problems with two females housed and taken care of appropriately. The key is that you need to provide them with the ability to naturally separate if they want to - they rarely will - you'll notice that when one moves the other will follow - but just be sure that there are like 2 hot hides and 2 cold hides and either 2 bowls or one that is big enough for the both of them so they don't have to compete for "the best spot" or anything. Obviously take them out and feed them separately, etc. My friend has housed a pair of females in a 5 foot cage for (I think) about 10 years and it works for them quite nicely. The trick is providing hides that are big enough for both but still small enough for just one! Good luck with them!

thanks for the reply, you are always so helpful to everyone in this forum. its funny you mentioned it, they follow each other all the time. they are fed seperately in a different enclosure from their current cage. they each have their personal hide on each side as well as a "comminity" hide. they are together 90% of the time. once again thanks for the reply.
