You shouldn't have any problems with two females housed and taken care of appropriately. The key is that you need to provide them with the ability to naturally separate if they want to - they rarely will - you'll notice that when one moves the other will follow - but just be sure that there are like 2 hot hides and 2 cold hides and either 2 bowls or one that is big enough for the both of them so they don't have to compete for "the best spot" or anything. Obviously take them out and feed them separately, etc. My friend has housed a pair of females in a 5 foot cage for (I think) about 10 years and it works for them quite nicely. The trick is providing hides that are big enough for both but still small enough for just one! Good luck with them!
