Hypomelanistic means few black pigment. So most Hypo's show a trace of black. Untill now most HYPO's are compatible but recent breedings from Hypo X Hypo resulted in all normals what means that there where two types of Hypo.

Marcel, I LOVE that hypo. You post some of the most awesome pics of corns. Who do you buy your corns from?

Anyway, I try to think about it in terms of the 3 forms of anerytherism: Type A, Type B(aka-charcoal)and Caramel. I would assume that even new 'types' of anery & hypo will come about with future breeding/inbreeding and hybridization or crosses with other similar/sexually compatible species. Who knows? Genetics can be crazy! I'm not sure BUT I thought I heard that scientists were going to try to clone a wooly mammouth hybrid???? Imagine the possibilities/controversy if that occurs.

Thanks! I carefully hand select each specimen for my collection. I buy nice corns from who ever produces them
