most of you know me and probly think im annoying for asking all these questions lol, but i have one, so sit here and read it. ok, i have a normal brooks king, i think its called triple het for nothing, at least that is what someone called it. and if i was to breed, would my brooks and a peanut butter brooksi make some cool hatchlings? i am aware that it is mostly preferance, but we all have somewhere to agree on that a snake is more attractive then another.

I think someone used a market ploy because to me it means that its not het for anything.

Hets are short for herterozygous meaning they are carriers of a particular reccessive gene (like albinism for example) when you breed a normal (like what you have) to a reccessive (like a Peanut Butter, axanthic, albino ect ect) you will get normal looking babies het for one of the above.

A double het aninal -has two genes.

A triple het animal- has three recessive genes

A triple het for nothing -means it is not het for anything.

So to make a long story short you need to do some research before spending any more money, which you are doing. Keep up the questions!

lol, its just a little confusing, since me, only completing 7th grade life science haha, but does the punnet square play into this, cuz i dozed off during half this lesson, but lets say you had this, i dont know if this drawing will work, but look down

A|a
A |
a |

that is what the equivelant of two normals would be right?......and peanut butter would be the same but one of the upper case A's would have to be made lower case or switch with a lower case a.......? i may be way wrong, but most of you have college degrees so im a little behind here. lol

ok, the drawing didnt work out, but a dominant looks like this A.a or A.A, just using a random letter, and a recessive looks like this a.A or a.a

This is confusing to me. Everytime I see one of your posts I think it's from me for a second. Our screenames are really close.

I think this has been discussed in the past few weeks. Run a search see what you find.
